The seven wonders in Canary Island

A friend of mine was asked, “What destination in the world would you go if you wanted to experience everything you like? Likes like island hopping, diving, sun-kissed beaches, wonderful people, culture…etc.? ”. Without a second thought he answered without hesitation “Canary Island”.

Wow! Now, I know why. Canary Island was made up of seven wonderful islands. And I visited them all in just seven days. I spent a day of wonderful time on all of these exquisite islands.

Canary Island has seven major islands- Tenerife, El Hierro, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, La Palma, Lanzarote and Gomera. Canary Islands also have some smaller great islands you can gad about.

Have a great time gallivanting and hopping in these islands. Experience everything here.

* Tenerife- This Island is refereed to as the “Island of Eternal Springtime”. I have experienced the best underworld I have ever imagined in this Island. The diving sector in this island is recognized by PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructor). Tenerife has the best scuba diving experience all over Spain. For me, Tenerife could be a diving capital in the continent of Europe. With its share of history, museums, parks and so on.

* El Hierro- This Island is referred to as “Small Unknown Island”. The smallest island in the archipelago of Canary. Its surface area is only 278 sq. meter. Most of the animals and plants here are protected in fact it is a Biosphere Reserve as was declared by UNESCO.

* Gran Canaria- This Island is referred to as the “The Small Continent”. I really love this island because of its contrast of environment. People here can bask in the sun’s glory at the same time look at snow-covered mountain peaks. This island is just one proof of nature’s mystery. Biomes of this island are so diverse… that it made me wonder… why so…?

* Furteventura- This Island is referred to as “The Old Land”. It was because its history is the oldest among the islands in the archipelago. This island also has the longest beaches. Thus, on and in the water activities are very famous here. And it seems that Africa is only just a narrow channel away.

* La Palma- They called it the “Beautiful Green Island”. La Palma is different from Palma or Palma de Mallorca. This is has great mountain views not to mention the perfect clear water beaches. This place a world’s record of having the largest volcanic crater – the La Caldera del Taburiente.

* Lanzarote- If I were to choose the name of this island it has to be “Outer Space Island”. This island is very extraordinary. Most part of its surface is clothed with lava and ashes making me feel as if I am on the surface of the moon. Now, it has great plantations of vegetables and plants. This island is not without its share of beautiful beaches, historical towns and islands that were referred by many as paradise. This is referred by many as “Landing on the Moon Island”

* Gomera- This Island is referred to as the “Island of Mountains”. Visit this plae and witness its original famous culture. And visit San Sebastian de la Gomera where Christopher Columbus stopped for helped.

 Glam Fun in the Canaries!

The Canary Islands can offer you the most glamorous holiday - here’s where to start the research!

Whether it’s in the buzzing Tenerife or the exciting Fuerteventura, you can look forward to enjoying some memorable nights in the Canaries. So what to do?

Clubbing - Each and every one of the Canary Islands rival Ibiza and so head to the main cities should you want a fun night, partying til dawn! The great beaches mean you can get in at 6am (early in Spain!), sleep until lunch and be up and ready for some sunning on the beach - ready with your tan for the next night of clubbing!

Casinos - play some of Spain’s favourite table games and enjoy the “Ocean’s Eleven-esque glamour”…you never know, practise beforehand (say playing poker online or learning the tricks in specialist magazines) and you may polish your skills enough to win the money to afford another holiday!

Fine Dining - The Canary Islands are famous for their great marisco food and so enjoy a typical meal of lobster and cod whilst dining at the lovely ports, al fresco in the warm surroundings of the Canaries.

Walking - Ok so it may not be glamorous but there is some beautiful natural scenery (including volcanic!) to enjoy in the Canaries - make sure you are to take it all in; it’s certainly as stunning as any glamorous man-made setting!

All in all, the Canaries has everything you could look for on a luxury holiday…Especially around the ports where millionaire cruise ships are frequently docked to host parties of the rich and famous. Pick your favourite island here and do the research (sites like this and your local agencia de viajes can help!); it will be a holiday you won’t forget!
